Chhath Puja: All you need to know about the festival

Celebrated on the sixth day after Diwali, Chhath is an ancient festival dedicated to the Sun God for a period of four days. Ghats have been spruced up, roads wiped clean and all arrangements are in place as people, mainly from the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, are all set to observe their most important festival of the year today. Chhath is a Hindu festival celebrated each year by the people very eagerly. This is very antique festival of the Hindu religion dedicated to the God of energy, also known as Dala Chhath or Surya Shashti. भाई दूज की कहानी

यम द्वितीया के बारे में मैंने केवल सुना था पर इसके महत्व को कभी नही जाना। यम द्वितीया को मेरा परिवार मथुरा गया वह मेरी साँस और उनके भाई यानि की मामा जी आए और दोनों ने जमुना के तट पर दिया जलाया और दीपदान भी करा वहाँ पर हमें पंडित जी ने यम द्वितीया   के महत्व को बताया तो जान कर   काफी आश्चर्य हुआ और अच्छा भी लगा। पांच दिवसीय दीपोत्सव के अंतिम दिन यानि यम द्वितीया को जो भी भाई बहन यमुना में स्नान करते हैं , उन्हें यम फांस से मुक्ति मिलती है। वहीं इस दिन बहिनें भाइयों के उन्नत मस्तक पर टीका कर उनकी लंबी आयु की प्रार्थना करती हैं। ये है कहानी एक बार सूर्य की पुत्री यमुना शापित होकर नदी के रूप में अपने उद्गम स्थल हिमालय से प्रवाहित होती हुई विभिन्न स्थानों पर भ्रमण करते हुए मथुरा पहुंची। काफी भ्रमण   करने के बाद यमुना   ने घाट पर विश्राम किया।   यमुना के बड़े भाई यानी की सूर्य पुत्र यमराज अपनी छोटी बहन से मिलने उनके पा
