Mela of Kumbh is the main festival of Hindu faith. In which
the heavy numbers of Hindus bath together in the holy river simultaneously.
Traditionally, four fairs are widely recognized as Kumbh Mela. Prayagraj Kumbh
Mela, Haridwar Kumbh Mela, Nasik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha, and Ujjain Simhastha.
The great bath of 'Kumbh' started on Makar Sankranti
(January 15). The first bath of kumbh is to Makar Sankranti and the second bath
is celebrated on Paushma. Kumbh Mela is celebrated for 49 days.
Kumbh Mela is organized every 12 years. There is a
difference of about 3 years between Kumbh Mela in Haridwar and Nashik. Fairs in
Nasik and Ujjain are celebrated in the same year or in a year.
On Paush Purnima, today Kumbh has another auspicious bath.
The devotees all over the country have come to Prayagraj to worship and worship
the Sun God on the banks of Sangam. Prayagraj as known the confluence of
Ganges, Yamuna and mythological Saraswati.
Keeping in view the crowd of devotees on Monday, the
District Traffic Police Department has made strict security arrangements on the
roads of Prayagraj. Especially the Fairgrounds.

Kumbh Mela administration estimates that more than 55 to 60
lakh pilgrims can plunge into confluence at Paush Purnima.
