It
is always exciting to get a new car, but deciding what to get is quite
challenging as you can imagine what would happen if it’s a wrong decision. Here
is my guide on how to get a car
Set
your budget- For example: - Like 4-6 lakhs, 6-8 lakhs, 8-10 lakhs, or 5-8
lakhs, you should be flexible at this level. I said this because there are
usually, different variants of cars between 2 lakhs and you have to compare them
as well.
New
or an old car - you need a real thought right now. If you are a person learning on
a car, you will get a second hand. If you want it for 2-3 years, or if you have
a low budget, you will get another vehicle. You know how to ride, and you want
to get a new car without any problems. If you are lucky enough to have a
vehicle 2yrs old and drive them less than 15,000 km, then you should take it,
it will be as good as a new car.
Your
needs - See what you need and keep them in mind when purchasing a vehicle. You
want a luxury car, a car that gives better mileage, better power, fun to drive,
spacious, and robust vehicle. Choose carefully what your specifications are (if
getting a low budget car does not expect unrealistic like a car with speed and
great mileage).
Check
all cars - No one has ever followed this step, although you should browse all
the cars in your budget. Don't be a sheep and follow the herd instead go to
online sites and check all the options and not going for the one that is
selling the most.
Match
the cars with your needs- Look at the car according to your needs and always
have an option. Compare cars online, see reviews, and customer reviews. Do not
tie with any brand.
Visit
the showroom- After selecting 2-3 options, see everyone personally for what
they will cost you. Please take a good look at the cars, sit in them, and ask
the dealer any possible questions about the car.
Test
Drive- People don't take advantage of this feature (I didn't take it even when
I got the car 2yrs ago, not a wise decision). You should take a test drive so
that you know which car is for you or which car makes you feel satisfied with
your needs.
The consumer is king- Do not forget at any point that you’re the person with the
power. Don't tell the dealer what you need to do, feel free to opt-out of
discussions and refuse the car when you don't want it, regardless of how long
you've spent trying to decide.
Buying
a car is a dream for any Indian. It is a symbol of your society. However, one
should buy a vehicle as per their requirements.
