Samsung
has introduced the Galaxy XCover Pro, a new, rugged smartphone. Samsung's
Galaxy XCover Pro comes with swappable batteries and a military-grade chassis,
likely to be available only in Finland right now. The smartphone is priced at
EUR 499 (about Rs 39,600).
In
January 2020, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro smartphone was launched. The phone
has a 1080x2400 pixel resolution with a 6.30-inch touchscreen display.
Samsung
claims that its new rugged smartphone comes with mPOS support for handling
payment and scanning barcodes. The phone also has scores of IP69 and MILSTD 810
G, making it waterproof and shockproof.
The
smartphone has two programmable buttons that allow users to turn on or off the
flashlight and send text messages via voice commands. For security purposes,
the new Samsung phone comes with a Knox security solution from the manufacturer.

- The Samsung Exynos 9611 processor powers the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro with a 2GHz octa-core. It comes in 4 GB RAM.
- The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD + TFT display that supports glove and weight touch modes. There is a punch-hole display in the top left corner of the phone. The screen also has a fingerprint reader in-display.
- The phone has an 8-megapixel rear camera with 13-megapixel. It has a 25-megapixel front camera for selfie. The Galaxy XCover Pro runs on an octa-core processor paired with 2GB (chipset name unspecified) 4GB of RAM. It has 64 GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 512 GB via microSD card.
- The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is powered by a 4.050mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. On the software front, the phone ships with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.
